“You have to devote yourself to what you are good at and don’t worry.”

In difficult times (and even in not-so-difficult), there are always thoughts of changing tack in a new direction.   Mexico City art dealers José Kuri and Monica Manzutto talk about their struggle to establish a gallery.  What interests me is Kuri’s philosophical statement:  “You have to devote yourself to what you are good at and don’t worry – I just thought I should do what I love.”  Is this still a viable view in 2010?  I like to think it is – at least, I don’t see any better alternative.   I’m certainly interested in hearing opinions one way or the other – and inspirational stories are particularly welcome!
