Qiu Zhijie, 607 Now, (detail: single print), 2005
Conceptually-based artist Qiu Zhijie participated in a 24-hour performative
exhibition in Beijing. He used a flashlight to write the word "now" ("xianzai")
in Chinese 607 times while a camera captured his motions. His rumination
on the ever-flowing nature of time resulted in this set of 24 prints, one
selected from each hour of the performance.
